While the holiday season is imbued with joy and celebration for many, it’s important to recognize that it can also be a challenging time for others. Amidst the festivities, there are those who might feel isolated or underprivileged, for whom the holidays stir mixed emotions. Understanding this dichotomy, the Progressive Housing Society (PHS) team is dedicated to crafting an inclusive event that not only uplifts spirits but also fosters a sense of community and belonging among our clients.
This year, our Christmas party witnessed an extraordinary turnout, creating an atmosphere of communal joy and festivity that was nothing short of magical. Participants embraced the holiday spirit wholeheartedly, with many donning vibrant festive colors and some even in elaborate holiday-themed outfits. The air buzzed with excitement and warmth, reflecting the spirit of the season in every smile and greeting.
The highlight of the celebration was undoubtedly the special appearance by Santa and Mrs. Claus, bringing smiles and laughter. Their presence added a touch of enchantment to the party, making it a memorable experience for everyone involved.
The event featured a spectacular brunch that offered not only delicious food but also a moment for everyone to come together, share stories, and enjoy the company of friends and staff. Following the meal, the excitement continued with a giveaway of fantastic door prizes, generously donated by our community partners. Items from Panago Pizza, Lougheed Mall, and Body Energy Club were especially popular, drawing cheers and applause as they were announced. These gifts were not just tokens of appreciation but symbols of the community’s support and solidarity.
