Join Our Holiday Gift Wrap Team at The Amazing Brentwood!

This holiday season, Progressive Housing Society is once again partnering with The Amazing Brentwood to bring festive cheer through our Gift Wrap Station fundraiser which is running December 12–24 during shopping centre hours.
We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help make this event a success! All proceeds from gift wrapping support Progressive Housing Society’s housing and mental health programs in Burnaby.
What Volunteers Do
As a Gift Wrap Volunteer, you’ll help shoppers wrap their purchases beautifully while creating a warm, welcoming experience. Tasks include:
- Greeting and assisting customers at the Gift Wrap Station
- Wrapping gifts neatly and efficiently (training provided!)
- Handling small transactions and tracking orders
- Keeping the workspace clean and organized
- Working cooperatively with other volunteers and staff
You don’t need to be an expert wrapper, just friendly, reliable, and ready to help! Volunteers should feel comfortable interacting with the public, standing for periods of time, and following direction in a fast-paced but fun environment.
Training & Shifts
All volunteers are invited to attend an optional Gift Wrap Training Session before the event. This session will cover wrapping techniques, station setup, and customer service expectations. All volunteers will also receive a written orientation for their reference.
Shifts will be scheduled in advance in 4-hour blocks and you can sign up for as many as you wish, depending on availability. Volunteers must be 16 years or older. Any volunteer under the age of 18 will require parental consent.
