2021 AGM

The fiscal year spanning April 1, 2020, to March 31, 2021, continued to be a year of significant adaptation and innovation for Progressive Housing Society. Amidst a global pandemic that reshaped how we live and work, our organization remained steadfast in its mission to provide support and empowerment to those in need. Our Annual General Meeting, conducted virtually and offered a reflective and forward-looking platform to discuss the year’s events, our responses to them, and the exciting prospects on the horizon.

In the face of the continued and evolving challenges brought on by COVID-19, Progressive Housing Society demonstrated remarkable flexibility and resilience. It was in this year that we opened our COVID-19 Emergency Response Centre (ERC) and our COVID-19 Isolation Centre.

Throughout the fiscal year, our programs underwent significant modifications to address the constraints of the pandemic. This period saw our team navigating the complexities of delivering services within the new normal, emphasizing safety, and leveraging technology to maintain and enhance our support systems. Our program managers played a pivotal role, innovatively adapting their strategies to ensure that our clients received uninterrupted assistance and care.

The virtual AGM was a moment to acknowledge the extraordinary efforts of our staff, many of whom reached notable milestones in their service to the community. It was also an opportunity to celebrate the achievements and perseverance of our team under uniquely challenging circumstances.

This meeting underscored the importance of our work and the adaptability of our organization in times of crisis. It reaffirmed our commitment to supporting our community, highlighting the critical role of collaboration, innovation, and resilience in overcoming obstacles.
