Gardening with Prospera

On June 28, 2023, staff from Prospera Credit Union collaborated with our team for a significant community service project, focusing on garden bed cleanup and planting at one of our properties in Burnaby. This day of service highlighted the positive impact of partnership and volunteerism, enhancing the living environment for our clients. Prospera Credit Union not only volunteered their time but also generously provided all necessary supplies for the gardening activities.

The initiative involved reviving existing garden beds and introducing a variety of vegetables, specifically chosen based on our clients’ preferences. The selection included cucumbers, carrots, potatoes, corn, and tomatoes, aiming to provide fresh and nutritious produce directly from the garden to the table.

Our volunteers were fortunate to have a beautiful, sunny day, creating an ideal setting for outdoor collaboration. The enthusiastic participation of Prospera Credit Union’s volunteers played a crucial role in the day’s success, demonstrating a shared commitment to supporting the community and contributing to its well-being.
